I’ve decided to go in for the national Novel Writing Month competition; it’s a competition where you are competing against yourself, challenging yourself to write 50,000 words in the month of November. It sounds like a tall order, I wasn’t sure I would manage to do it last year, but to my surprise I found inspiration and then really got on a writing roll and I made it, I completed it and more.
The idea is to start a completely new novel – although rewriting an old one from scratch i think is allowed. Last year I began my story of Thomas Radwinter, and write a genealogical mystery, which Thomas on a metaphorical journey back to war-torn eastern Europe. I finished the novel in December and spent the next two months revising and editing it before publishing it last February. Thomas’s story s captivated me that I started a second part in Camp NaNo – similar to NaNo, but with more flexibility, and the option of setting your own target in terms of word count. The result of Camp NaNo? My latest book Magick!
So NaNo 2015… Hmmm, not quite decided, it might be my first ever romance!!
